About Me

As the Founder and CEO of College Bound Advising (CBA) and the Head Toward College Foundation (HTCF), I've dedicated my career to transforming how families experience the college journey.

With over 25 years in higher education and adolescent counseling, dual Master’s degrees in Social Work and Education, and countless success stories, I bring a unique perspective that combines academic expertise with deep empathy for the emotional journey of students and their families.

My approach goes beyond just helping students find the right college—I equip them with the tools to thrive once they arrive. Equally important, I guide parents in maintaining their sanity while supporting their teens through this pivotal life transition.

I believe that the teenage years, especially the college application process, when approached thoughtfully, can be a powerful opportunity for growth, self-discovery, and family connection rather than just a stressful hurdle to overcome. And I've dedicated my career to transforming how families experience the college journey.

Through the curriculum I have developed for CBA, I provide personalized guidance that honors each student's unique strengths and aspirations. Through my foundation, along with my middle daughter, I developed Working Towards Change, a student volunteer initiative that connects teens with meaningful community service opportunities. Our Doing Good projects teach students the value of philanthropy and giving back, helping them develop empathy, leadership skills, and a deeper understanding of social responsibility—qualities that not only strengthen college applications but build character for life.

More recently the HTCF has been focused on helping Jewish students find a safe home away from home on their college campuses and is supporting partner organizations that are fighting campus antisemitism.

Whether I'm working one-on-one with families, speaking to parent groups, or creating resources, my mission remains constant: transforming the college journey from a source of anxiety into an empowering experience for the entire family.
